Stephanie Matto, a reality TV star who became famous after appearing on the show 90 Day Fiancé, has been making cash by selling her farts to strangers.
The farts are contained inside glass jars that Stephanie seals shut and then posts them to the buyers after receiving AUD $1,400 for each.
She said that she can produce lots of gas by consuming foods rich in protein. These include, beans, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt and protein shakes. Not only is she able to generate plenty of gas, but her flatulence is also rich in pungent odour.
Stephanie also likes to decorate her jars by adding a flower petal inside, along with her fart. She said:
“I like to add a little flower petals. I feel like they attach the scent and make it last longer. And when I’m finally finished with my jar, I like to leave a personalised note.”
In a TikTok video, she reported that she made almost AUD $70,000 in one week.
She said in an interview with Buzzfeed:
“Working on my own adult-friendly platform these past few months has made me very aware of the different types of niches and markets that are out there. Over the years, I’ve gotten a few messages from men and women wanting to buy my worn bras, panties, hair, bath water, etc. I thought farts were super niche, but also something fun, quirky, and different. It’s almost like a novelty item!”
Stephanie also reports that the demand for her farts is on the rise and that sometimes she struggles to keep up with the numerous requests she receives daily.
