Teenagers have always found a way to hurt each other in odd ways under the guise of playing games. Back when I was in High School it was the slapping game that’s still fairly popular today, but now it seems things are being taken another step further. Currently there’s a new “game” spreading like wildfire, this one’s being called the knockout game – I’m sure you can guess why. Normally if two teenagers want to knock each other out then I’m all for their freedom of choice to do so, but this game involves sucker punching an unsuspecting victim and it’s already reaching beyond solely teenage players.
Thirty-four-year-old Jannatul Ferdous was minding her own business while walking along a sidewalk in Brooklyn when 33-year-old Willie Stephens was heading in the opposite direction. For whatever reason, Stephens decided to carry out the instructions of this game right when they cross paths, and knocks her out. Not only did this man assault Ferduos for absolutely no reason, but she is actually six months pregnant as well. Fortunately the police were able to catch up with him and he is being charged with assault.
