This is not the first time we shared a video about famed conservationist Damien Aspinall, but all of them are so incredible I get a lump in my throat every time I watch them.
This is the story of a reunion between Damian and a lowland gorilla named Kwibi. Kwibi was raised in England, but when he was 5 years old he was brought back to Africa as a part of a program to reintroduce gorillas back into the wild. It’s been 5 years since then and when Damian went looking for him, no one knew how Kwibi would react. Will he recognize him? Will he attack him? What happened actually surprised even Damian himself.
