Josh Marshall lives with his wife and two kids in Kansas. In March of last year, he and his wife receive news that no parent wants to hear: His 8-year-old son, Gabriel, is diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.
The good news is that the tumor was easily removed with surgery and Gabriel is now stable. But the surgery left him with a very obvious scar on the side of his head. When Gabriel told his dad that it made him feel like a monster, his heart broke.
So, Josh thought of something to make his son feel a little better. He went out and got a tattoo that looked just like Gabriel's scar in the exact same spot. “I told him if people wanted to stare, they could stare at both of us,” Josh explained.
The tattoo worked. Gabriel loves that he and his dad are now "twins." What an amazing way to support your child!
