Man Pulls Down Jogger's Pants And Tries To Assault Her, Fails To Realize Who She Is

Pittsburgh man Robert Flynn was charged Wednesday morning after he allegedly pulled down a deputy U.S. marshal’s shorts on Tuesday afternoon while she was jogging.

A Deputy U.S. Marshal was running along a trail that runs parallel to River Avenue toward the 16th Street Bridge in Pittsburgh when Flynn ran up behind her, grabbed her backside and pulled her shorts to her ankles.

In a Pittsburgh police criminal complaint filed by the woman, who was off-duty at the time of the attack, Flynn reportedly ran toward Anderson Street following his crime and she chased after him.

“Federal marshal,” she allegedly yelled. “Stop!”

As Flynn continued to run, she followed and asked pedestrians to call 911.

The marshal eventually caught up to Flynn and cornered him on a staircase at an apartment building. According to the marshal, Flynn flung himself at her, but she kicked him in the crotch and punched him in the face.

Flynn was taken to Allegheny County Jail and was charged with aggravated assault, indecent assault, escape and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.

The marshal took herself to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where she was treated for an injured finger.
