Getting used to your spouse’s little quirks is a big part of marriage, but one woman is having a hard time understanding her husband's bedtime routine. TikToker Chloe Tucker Caine, or @chloeinmanhattan as she goes by online, recently went viral after sharing how her British husband stores his pajamas — and the internet was split over whether this was totally weird or totally brilliant.
As Chloe explained in a video from January 16, her husband is British.
“Hello, welcome back to British husband TikTok,” she said in the now-viral footage. “My British husband does something really weird and I want to know if this is a normal British thing.”
“He puts his pajamas behind his pillow,” she said. “I mean, it’s clever, but like….”
Over 1 million people have watched Chloe's video — and some people thought this was completely normal.
"I thought the whole world did this," wrote one commenter. "Where else would you put them?"
"I do this too, from Scotland," someone else wrote. "It's so they're not in the wash coz they're not dirty but not in the drawers coz they're not clean."
"Do not complain about this, my very British boyfriend just leaves them on the floor for me to put behind his pillow," another commenter joked.
While other people agreed with Chloe — this was strange AF.
"My English husband doesn’t do this," wrote one commenter. "We throw our pajamas at the foot of an unmade bed like the complete savages we are."
"Eh?" someone else chimed in. "I’m from the UK and I have never heard of anyone doing this?!"
"I'm British and I've never done this or heard of anyone doing this before," a third person replied.
Many people from outside the US wondered where the heck Americans were storing our jammies.
And oh, did Chloe have an answer.
The floor. It’s the floor.
The TikToker even shared video of her own pajamas splayed across the ground.
“I blame my upbringing, school systems, my mother, my second grade teacher, specifically Ms. Spencer, who didn’t prepare me for the real world,” she said before burying her head in her hand in the video January 16.
It could be worse, right? Now excuse me while I go and put something behind my pillow real quick.
