It’s like a universal knowledge. Everybody’s aware that kids misbehave around their moms the most. This is not just a random belief. Psychologists have researched about it and so, they know the reason why this is the case.
Children show their best and worst side in front of their parents
Children are truly themselves when they are around their parents. As a parent, you need to be filled with energy so as to be good and ready to follow the rules. Once your kids get home, they let it all out. But looking at the bright side, their most profound love, affection and admiration are reserved only for you, and no one else.
Kids mostly misbehave around their moms
When at home, children feel the most safe, unless there’s some sort of trouble over there. Of course, if they did something inappropriate, they know their parents will freak out, they are certain that they are in big trouble. But most importantly, they feel that their family and their house is a safe place to land. They know and they feel that they can trust you.

Actually, according to her, it takes a lot for them to learn to control their impulses when they are around their moms. And that’s due to their underdeveloped brains. So they feel that they can act however they want to because we love them anyway.
Mommies should know that if they are secure enough and make sure that their kids know that the relationship between them is safe, their get the strength and comfort to goof around, disobey and stretch the boundaries being certain that she is always there for them, no matter what.
So if you give it a second thought, moms should consider their children’s misbehavior around them a compliment.
So bottom line is, children misbehave around their moms because they feel comfortable, safe and supported. Their moms make them feel loved and secure so they feel that they are loved unconditionally, and consequently they know that even if they misbehave, their moms will forgive them.
All in all, the childhood of your kids will have many moments of chaos that will be reserved only for you. But there are also going to be moments when your kids will shine the brightest for you, and those moments will make all the bad experiences and traumas worth it.
