It takes a village to raise a child, the old proverb says and you don’t need to look further than this elephant family to realize how much truth there is to it.
It’s a known fact that elephants live in big families, so when a new baby comes it’s an exciting event for the whole herd. Christian and Ginette Leroy had a privilege to witness and capture this amazing moment in Chobi National Park, Botswana when the whole family of these beautiful animals, all the aunts and cousins, all the brothers and sisters gathered to celebrate the birth of the youngest member of the family.
