Baby orangutan Budi was locked in a tiny cage for the first year of his life. That cage is mostly all he knew.
He was barely fed, and when so his diet consisted of condensed milk which caused him to fight to survive. Upon being rescued and lifted out of the cage, Budi cried in pain, as his joints were not used to movement and being touched. Can you imagine yourself restricted and forced to live in a tiny box? Fortunately his is in the process of being rehabilitated and recovering nicely! In the video below, you can see how hard and painful of a process it was for Budi the organutan.
